GFP - ABAP Developer Job Description

Responsibilities:

- Perform development or modification in SAP environment including but not limited to SAP Adobe forms. SAP scripts, ABAP programs/functions and others.

- Provide analysis in determining viability of modification and enhancement requests.

- Provide accurate estimates on programming effort required to complete request.

- Investigate, analyze and review functional specifications provided by Functional Analysts and/or Consultants for new requirements.

- Communicate with Functional Analysts and Consultants on the requirements of the forms needed by offices.

- Perform and complete unit and peer testing of forms and template(s) on work completed by team developer to verify programming and existing functionality of forms/template(s)

- Communicate with QA team as part of the quality control process.

- Support existing FMS template applications - non-customized Elite proformas, Elite bill templates, and Whitehill templates.

- Troubleshoot FMS templates regarding issues reported by the offices through the regional analysts.

- Responsible for maintaining open communications with the team and Regional Support Teams regarding the progress of resolution per delivery date.

- Evaluate and identify nature of template issue (i.e, user training issue or problem within the application.)

- Analyze problem causes and take appropriate action to resolve identified.

- Deliver completed, thoroughly tested product per requirements and by delivery dates.

- Work on ad hoc reports and tasks assigned by the supervisor.

 


Requirements:

- Knowledge of troubleshooting procedures.

- Ability to analyze and evaluate procedures and problems.

- Ability to describe and detail resolution in written or verbal communication

- Able to organize and prioritize assigned tasks to meet established schedules and deadlines.

- Experience with MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access.

- Flexible and can adapt to new skills and technology.

- Basic SQL language skills.

- Knowledge in SAP Adobe Forms is a plus.

- Thorough and prompt analysis.

-  A four-year college degree is preferred

- Minimum 1 year of programming experience in an SAP environment preferably developing SAP Adobe forms

- Knowledge of billing process helpful; legal or consulting billing a plus.

- Knowledge of MS Office, including MS Word, MS Access and experience with SQL and XML programming languages a plus.
